Bad guy pet shop report

The following is a report about a pet shop in Ohio . Please note
I Edited the Companies name out to keep this Forum and Kingsnake.com out of legal trouble . Needless To say I am very upset.

From the Turtle Homes list serv:

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the box turtles in my local
(Medina, OH) (Big Name Pet Shop ) were in terrible shape with their eyes
swollen shut, etc. I complained to the store and asked if they would
give me the turtles so I could take them to a vet. The manager said he
"wasn't allowed", so I called a regional office and complained. They
seemed so nice and apologetic and promised to "take care" of the
situation. Well, I've talked to the store employees, and 2 WEEKS later,
these poor turtles are sitting in the back room of the store, still
quite ill. They still refuse to give me the turtles. I called the local
humane society, which did nothing becaused they "don't deal with
reptiles." These poor animals are going to die if they don't get
veterinary attention, and the miserable idiots at the store as so greedy
that they'd rather let the poor turtles die than give them away to
someone who can care for them. Much as I hate to support that cruddy
store, I even offered to buy the turtles to no avail. Do any of you have
ideas on how I can get the poor things out of there? I will do whatever
it takes to rescue them if I can get some ideas on how to go about it.
PLEASE help me out....I am sick to my stomach over this.

P.S.

I have sent a letter of complaint via thier web site giving them 24 hours notice to have the box turtles treated by a vet or the media , PETA , and the Ohio DNR will be contacted .
