I'm seeing the same posts again about "saving" the wild caught animals from the pet stores. I fell for that last year with the Petco leopards, and one died while the other one had to live in quarrantine for quite a while in order to make sure we didn't get the other animals sick too. (we eventually had to get rid of her because of her aggressive/territorial behavior) It's really not worth the time and money just to watch the animal die in your hands. So, what I've been doing every time I go by the pet store is... DON'T GO IN. I know there will always be animals being uncared for, and I am not Noah. Anytime I need a new light or some calcium powder, I buy it on the internet fro one of the advertisers here on Kingsnake. They pay the money to keep this good forum up and running so I figure they deserve my money a lot more than some chain shop who doesn't really care about their reptiles. I know there are exceptions, and I know I'll get flamed for this post because eveyone has a different opinion, but that is what works for me. Let the undeserved attacks begin...
