I had a baby black rat, he was very aggressive, as im told they are as babies.
i handled him dispite the biting and he ate well. he got loose and i couldnt find him so i dismissed it.
we found him 6 months later, much bigger than he was last time!
the problem im having is he is much larger and is still very aggressive! are black rats commonly this aggressive or is mine different? what can i do if anything to get him to calm down? he coils up and sometimes strikes when i change his water or do anything in his cage. i havent been able to handle him. i guess my question is, is it worth it for me to handle him and bear the bitings in hopes he will eventually stop or are most black rats aggressive?
