all the snakes are in 30 gallon aquariums, and all are about 3 1/2 feet, both the jungle and black rat are slender snakes, both are young, the jungle being 2years. the jungle carpets cage is on its side though. is this too small for him?
he tends to stay on his branches, occassionally he comes down and coils up on the ground. he has a water dish, approx. 4" in diameter and the base of his branch on the ground. if i put a hide box there, im afraid he wont have much left along the lines of ground space. would it perhaps be better if the cage is set right side up? we could have branches in there to give him more room to stretch out, but would give him less height.
how big should the hide boxes be? is wide necessary or is slightly taller exceptable?
