After you said the yellow bellied racers arent supposed to be in KY I started doing some research. I think you may be right. I found a picture that looks just like the racers I have seen. It is the southern black racer, coluber constrictor priapus. Has an ivory/creamy chin and dark blue body with the blue getting lighter down the sides towards the belly. So is it possible that we have both the norhtern and the southern black racers here? I never really looked at eastern yellow bellied racers that close, and after looking at a few on the net, they are way too light blue to be the ones I have seen. So now Im thinking the snakes I have seen are the southern black racer. What do you think. Hmmm, now you have me thinking! LOL

I know what the northern black racer looks like, came across plenty of those guys. Jet black, lithe, and beautiful.
