once westerns are eating mice (which they do readily) they are among the easiest snakes to keep.
Wild-caught animals can require some scenting to get started on mice, but once they do, they are usually pigs!
Captive born animals are easy. I think they are easier to keep than many other more popular snakes (certainly less work than the average ball python!) and they have more personality as well!
