what is your setup? temp especially. what kind of water do you use? hiding places? frog still eats? what substrate? the change of season is rough for wild frogs if they don't hibernate. the frog probably just active because he was upset that you woke him up during the day. redleg is a common ailment but having red legs is not a good indicator anyway. other symptoms happen first.
