My R. ciliatus and R. auriculatus receive about 80% of their diet from gut-loaded insects (crickets, roaches, etc.). I believe that I could completely omit the baby food from their diet since I use several high quality ingredients to gut load the insects. When I fed the geckos more baby food, growth rates were slower. I am now able to accurately sex cresteds at around 4 months (15-20 grams in my collection).
