Your post proves what I have always assumed. Gutloading is almost pointless. The amount of food that a cricket eats in a day is so small and the speed that the bug processes the food is so quick that I could never figure out how gutloading could really be that effective.

I have been using the Rhaco diet for only a very short time. It really appears to be a good product. I have purchased several rhacos representing four different species from Allen. They have been raised on his diet (probably for a couple of generations) and they are all outstanding specimens. Due to the astronomical size of his operation and the time he has spent researching and developing the current formula, I don't think there is another person on the planet more qualified on the subject of rhaco nutrition.

After keeping herps for about 20 years it has been a challenge for me to accept that a prepared diet could take the place of an insect based diet, but I have seen the results and I am impressed.

As far as there being more than one way to skin a cat, while I have always believed that bunny fur makes a nicer hat.
