I used to message here because this forum was serious, answering serious questions. I rarely come to this forum anymore because of all of the gossip and story telling that goes on here.

I hope the topic of this forum gets back to serious issues and problems...not name calling, not any of that kind of stuff. This board is for the purpose of helping others, not to insult each other. This goes to everyone who is guilty of doing this, as I know there are people that don't abuse this forum out there as well.

Yesterday, I saw an iguana that was dropped off at my friend's door. She asked me to find a home for it and that it was suffering from severe MBD (visibly apparant in its spine). I found someone to take it, but when I went to see it, is was so mangled and grotesque. It can't walk, crawl, or anything except flip itself over onto its back. You have to help it defecate, flip it back on its stomach, and untangle his legs all of the time. Its in serious condition.

It is pretty much paralyzed. Right now, it is in a plastic bin sitting there because that is all that it can do.

I am not sure if I should save this iggy or put it to sleep. This pulls at the corners of my heart. It is a very hard decision to make, and I hope that no one else has to go through this.

To everyone, I would like to emphasize the importance of maintaining proper dietary levels. It literally makes or "brakes" the iguana. This one is broken beyond repair. I don't know how long it will live even if it does get placed in a good home. I just don't know what to do.
