I think I found a Cure or preventive procedure for Iquana Constipation!

My iggy (Cheek) is about 2 1/2 years old and is 45 inches long. She used to have bouts of periodic constipation. After experimenting with temperature and a trip to the vet, many soaks with belly rubs.

I think I have found a way to reduce constipation.

Heres what I do.... My iggy is in a 90 gallon aquarium. (i let her out every day after work.) I raised the temperature in her tank by buying a hotter ceramic bulb which rose the temperature in the tank. As for her diet I gave her Cantulope and strawberries one day, then i gave her cantulope (cut into very small pieces) with very little red leaf lettuce.

Cheek has been going regularly, daily to almost every other day. I think the cantelope really cleaned her out. I saw some stuff I had not seen in awhile. I monitor her stools all the time.

I just wanted to share my experience with this forum. I am extremmly happy my iggy seems to be doing just fine.
