It's not just Me and My Mom usually. My Dad is also there should I have problems. Also, Smirnoff is just under 4 feet long and Isn't going to get any bigger. He's 7 years old. He was stunted because the people who had Him (who I adopted him from) didn't keep him warm enough or give him enough REAL sun. They just left him in his little cage and threw food at him once a day. Theirs hearts meant well but His claws scared them. I, on the other hand, Have two horses and have been working around horses since I was 12. I've be kicked, bitten, thrown, had the saddle brake out from under me, been on a branco, Step on, run over, .... you get the idea. A little lizard with little claws doesn't really bother me. People have looked at My arms and asked me "didn't that hurt". I usally don't have a clue what they're talking about till I look at my arms and see the scratchs. My Point Is, I'm QUITE capable of handling Him Myself. I'VE had to take him away from My MOM cause SHE couldn't hold him, not the other way around. I go on walks alone holding him and don't have a problem when He wiggles. It probably wouldn't be the same story If he were 20 pounds and 6 ft long. But He's not. Nor is He going to be. I enjoy teaching people and possibly Helping there herps out. It makes me feel good about myself and My creatures. Makes Me feel like I'm doing something right. My Mom just gets jealous cause She LOVES critters of all kinds too, and She wants to hold one too. :P If She had a problem, My dad could help while I stood back with Smirnoff. Or We could switch Or Dad could take Smirnoff While I helped her. I'm not looking for another HUGE lizard or Snake. BDs sound about the right size for her and would be easy to control If Something went wrong. I'm not looking for another Ig or anything really over 2 ft. I LOVE Snakes but She's not into feeding Live animals to ANYTHING! Not Chams, snakes, Water Dragons, NOTHING. The Only thing She'll feed to something else is ants or crickets. Nothing else. DEFINATLY not Roaches! (even I won't go there) :P Believe me, I've run through every possiblity in My head. I ALWAYS plan things out before hand. Sometimes things happen. These may be My Famous Last words, But I like thinking possitive. :) I hope you understand. I hope I cleared everything up. I appreciate your concern also. It shows You care for People as well as critters. It's nice to see. :)

:it is a good idea to take two reptiles for a walk at the same time.Mainly when one of them is a big iguana.Although your ig seems calm and easy going one of these days he can change his behavior, attack someone or try to escape. Then you will need your mom to help you (or vice versa). When you take your ig out you must be extra careful and concentrate your attention ONLY on him, not share your attention with other reptile!!Sometimes when I take Godzilla or TRex out for a walk I would like to have 4 hands!!If your ig attack someone this person can sue you!!Then I am sure your mom wont be so happy!!

:############################################################### : I like to take My Ig out to educate people about them. He seems to like the attention and all the petting. Doesn't seemed stressed at all. I carry him around with his hip leash on as a precaution. But My Mom seems a bit jealous. :) Sounds silly but She's always trying to take him from me. And I'm also interested in expanding My Herp collection. So here's the question. Does anyone know of another herp that I can take into the public with stress it out? I'm thinking more of a lizard type herp cause Snakes get to big and You can't really take a turtle or Tortoise around on a leash. :P At first I thought maybe a Cham but they are WAY to fragile. Then I thought a Gecko (Which I'm looking into now) but so far I haven't found one suitable for the enviornment that I have (Similar to an Ig since it'll be kept in the same room, NOT CAGE Just room). Any ideas? I appreciate it. :)
