Someone help, please?

Alright... I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about Iguanas.

You may ask yourself why, then, do I currently have one in a small tank on my bookshelf... but I DO have an answer to that.

I have wanted an iguana forever. I KNOW they get very large, because I did know people who own them...

But I know nothing else about them, and the pet store (not surprisingly) was NOT helpful at all.

I bought the poor little thing -- affectionately named Gir -- from a store that... well, wasn't taking care of him in any humane manner. Will someone PLEASE help me out? I need a sort of... mentor/advisor/suggester type person. I'm NOT giving him up. I bought him to save him, and he's MINE... at least I think it's a he... they said, at least partially truthfully, I gather, that it's near impossible to tell when they're very young. The pet store owner didn't even know how old they were... only about 'a couple months old'. So...

Someone HELP ME!
