with temps ~ keep in mind there's a difference between the *Ambient* temp and the *basking spot* temp ...
since he's still in a small enclosure, a basking spot is rather a moot point right now ~ (btw, a thermometer is another *MUST* ... the 99 cent ones you can find in the aquarium aisle are fine ...)
aim for about 85 degrees for an ambient temp ... a little more/less is ok ...
100 degrees is fine for a basking spot temp ~ a basking spot is a warm spot that they can move into or out of whenever they want ... make sense? :)
