Well I've been talking to my bf through IM all day and going back and fourth between tegus and Iguana stuff. From what I've learned from today on this forum, I think I'd rather stick with a tegu for now. And my bf thinks that a Tegu would be better for now also.

Have a question for ya though, I know with snakes, sometimes the mice can hurt them, and you have to kill the mouse to prevent further injury. Can this happen with Tegus also? I know you can feed frozen mice to prevent this, but i was just curious in case we were to raise our own mice. Since Tegus eat so many of them anyway.

What kind of Tegus do you have? I was just curious.
