So, I'm getting a little depressed reading all these prolific posts, although I do agree with many of their main points (the ones supporting education and devotion of necessary funds to ig care(, but I just had a question for the board in general -- is owning an iguana ANY fun?? I realize you all are trying to educate those who refuse to listen anyway, but it's beginning to sound a bit like owning an ig is a job rather than a hobby! I'll admit - I'm a fairly new owner and I haven't experienced the $3000 vet bill yet -- mine was only $33! But I just wanted to know why you all have iguanas if they're so much work. There has to be some element of enjoyment in it, or I don't think you would all be here posting on this board. I appreciate all the help and advice I've received here but I think we could use some more "happy" posts! I hope I haven't offended anyone -- I do respect the opinion of anyone who has the desire (and verbal ability) to express one, but I think some of us (or me, at least) are not getting what we expect from this board; that being a group of caring people who truly enjoy owning and caring for their "exotic" green pets. So, any thoughts would be welcome -- why'd you all buy the things in the first place?
