I think fun is a strong word to describe an Iguana. But I think they are fun in their own way. When you've put alot of work in taming and patience, their is a point that things start to be fun, yes, when their is trust and you can bring him places and when you start to see their real personnality, it is really rewarding.

: So, I'm getting a little depressed reading all these prolific posts, although I do agree with many of their main points (the ones supporting education and devotion of necessary funds to ig care(, but I just had a question for the board in general -- is owning an iguana ANY fun?? I realize you all are trying to educate those who refuse to listen anyway, but it's beginning to sound a bit like owning an ig is a job rather than a hobby! I'll admit - I'm a fairly new owner and I haven't experienced the $3000 vet bill yet -- mine was only $33! But I just wanted to know why you all have iguanas if they're so much work. There has to be some element of enjoyment in it, or I don't think you would all be here posting on this board. I appreciate all the help and advice I've received here but I think we could use some more "happy" posts!
