In Reply to: A regular house light bulb okay? posted by Christy on October 17, 2001 at 13:43:00:
I have always thought regular bulbs were fine for heat, but I have noticed that Sleestack seems much happier when I buy the Zoomed heat bulb-- gives off a different color of light. This is in addition to my Zoomed 5 UV light. Now those of you with Active UV lights will not relate to this as much since your light is all in one. Others say how regular bulbs are so much cheaper, but the Zoomed one is only $5 for 150watt. Aren't regular bulbs at least half that? Anyway, a regular bulb to add additional light is fine--if I remember correctly you own the Active UV light. However, if you are using a flourescent UV light, I really think the Zoomed bulbs are nicer. (more of a daylight look) I welcome anyone else's observations on this matter.
