I dont think your being fair. I was told that this iguana was tame and very domesticated just to find out he was quite the opposite and i have the scratches to prove it. I will give him 6 months and if he doesnt get tame then i will find a good home for him.

: O.k. first of all if you had done any research about this animal you would know that iguanas can take up to a YEAR to tame down. Some even LONGER.

: Secondly, iguanas or any other animal are not a throw away pet. Just because you aren't having "fun" anymore is no reason to "get rid" of an animal. And if you think it is please just don't get anymore pets.

:
: Once you buy a pet you are COMMITED to care for it PROPERLY for its life span. Why did you not think you might want to get rid of this iguana BEFORE you bought it? Don't tell me you didn't know they were "wild" because iguanas are WILD animals. You can't buy an iguana and expect it to sit on your shoulder all day not moving.
: You think you are not having fun? Think of how that poor iguana feels.

:
: Maybe you should find an iguana rescue group to take this iguana from you, because apprarently you think they are throw away pets. Iguanas all need time to tame down. I am sorry if you think I am "flaming" you or being rude but people who want to get rid of animals because THEY (people) aren't having fun anymore are selfish.
