Help! Dark brown, fuzzy spots on iguanas nose

Recently, over the past few days, I have noticed that the large scale on my iguana's nose (between the nostrils), has become dark brown. Also, two or three smaller scales above his nose have also become dark brown. They feel a little fuzzy when I rub them with my finger. What are these, and is there a medication I can apply to them to heal this up?
