We have a baby ig that measures 3" SVL and 12" STL. I've noticed s/he doesn't eat much at all. I feed 3 times a day and each time I will place the baby on the food. I've only seen it eat twice in the 5 days we've had it. Each time it ate it only ate a few bites then jumped back to it's basking spot. Yesterday I saw it jump over to the pool of water and drink. Knowing ig's don't drink much but get most of their water from the food they eat I'm afraid the drinking is a sign of dehydration. S/He was shedding when we got it and isn't making much progress. I keep it misted although it hates to be and keep the enclosure misted. S/He is very active and alert. Sleeps more than my other but thought maybe this was normal. I have noticed s/he poops daily. Maybe I'm just used to the huge amounts of food my 9 month old eats and am afraid the baby isn't eating enough. I also want to make sure hatchlings do eat the same diet as older ig's...I can't find anything on the net about this. Also, if ig's are about 2 1/2" SVL when they hatch would 4 weeks be a good guess for a 3" ig. Thanks
