Is it normal for them to sleep more? The baby will sleep off and on through out the day. I tear the greens up very small for it...about 1/2 the size of a dime and chop the veggies up in tiny cubes (I read ig food should be chopped no bigger than their head so I try to go at least 1/2 the size of their heads). The 9 month old stays at the top of the enclosure on a basking shelf. I also keep his food on the other end of the shelf at the top. The baby's basking area is at the bottom along w/ it's food. It will lay in it's basking area for a few hours then move to the top and bask w/ the older one. I didn't think it was too worried about the other ig since it climbs up to the top and basks w/ him...what do you think? I'll get the baby down from the shelf each time I feed them and place it on it's food. It will either take a few bites or just look around for a few minutes then climb to the lower basking spot...after a few hours I'll find it at the top again. At night it will sleep on some of the plants attached to the wall...the older one sleeps on the shelf. I know parasites are common in ig's but want to make sure I'm doing every thing else ok first. I don't like getting advice from one person alone (even if it is a vet) but like to hear the opinions of others also (that's why I posted my questions instead of just asking my vet). I will be getting the baby to the vet soon...all new pets need to see a vet for a check up no matter what. How old is Samantha now? Did you take measurements frequently to chart her growth? I'm charting the growth of mine and am curious to know the growth rate of others ig's. Thanks

: Yes, I had Samantha as a hatchling. Chop up the greens very fine. She is probably adjusting. The baby may be intimidated by the bigger iguana also. If things don't look right after 2 weeks, see a vet for a worm check. This is more common than you think.
