well let's see, when iZ was 3' long, he weighed about one pound ... maybe this ig in the story was fat, we'll give him 3 pounds ...

let's say this was a 3# KITTEN ~ do you think ANYONE would have found it acceptable (let alone funny!?) if the same teen had been throwing a basket ball at a kitten????

don't tell me "that's different" ... it IS NOT ...
that ig was scared to death and totally out of it's environment and CERTAINLY deserved more humane treatment by the supposedly adult people present ~ and it makes me literally SICK that the Animal Control officers were a part of this ...

a 3 pound animal DOES NOT DESERVE to have people throwing basketballs at it! PERIOD!

did you know that dogs + cats can ALSO carry salmonella??? should they shoot dogs + cats when THEY get lost as well??? WHY NOT!?

do you think this ig was gonna run up + bite people just to infect them with salmonella??? (which btw, is NOT how it's spread ...)

and the ability of a poor 3' ig to "cause general panic" is just too inane to reply to .......
