Iguana's are reptiles, they have a primitive brain. They are not capable of showing true emotions like Hate, Love, Compassion, etc. But, they do have Fear. Iguana's are not MEAN, or HATE their owners... they fear them. Therefore that is why they bite. They do not like human touch, they become accustomed to human touch. they are WILD animals.. they are never tame.. they only learn to tolerate and trust us. We are their source of food and shelter... its like a comprimise.

BUT I do love my little guy... I know that he is a wild animal. If I could.. and knew that he would survive.. I would release him into the wild. I know that he would be happiest there.. unlimited (sorta) raoming area.. lots of branches and greens and flowers to eat... And he is a WILD animal.. therefore he should be in the wild. But that just isn't going to happen.

No.. you will never tame your iguana.. just earn its trust.

So, as long as you keep it healthy, happy, and well fed.. there is nothing that you are doing wrong.
