While it IS possible that an iguana could be WC these days, it is far more common to have them CB. That being the case, one would have to ask whether or not an iguana is born with all of the necessary "wild" instincts or are some of them "learned". If any instincts are learned then just how "underdeveloped" are a CB ig's instincts ? IMHO, this could neither be considered a "wild" nor a "domesticated" animal.
As far as "emotion" is concerned well.... It may simply be levels of trust or it very well could be something greater. We, as pet owners/rescuers etc., can become carried away with anthropomorphizing (sp.?)to a certain extent. BUT, for so many people to be comparing similiar stories I would have to think that there is more than just simple trust happening. The more I watch these creatures the more I become convinced that they have some link to cats somewhere. They are just far to similiar in "personalities" if you will....
And if, in fact, there are various levels of trust established then how far does one go before "upgrading" or "downgrading" an animal from "wild" status ?
Just some thoughts on not nearly enough sleep.....
