the tail doesn't sound like it's anything to worry about ... iZ's tail got smacked in the door of his enclosure when he was younger (i still feel guilty) and it's always just looked kinda funny since then .... it's perfectly healthy and healed ... it's just kinda crooked is all ....
eyes closed GENERALLY mean they're trying to hide from the world in general ... but iZ also seems to just close his eyes in bliss sometimes too ... i would but that as they get abit more used to their new environment, they'll be looking around alot more ... and then WATCH OUT! they WILL be plotting what to leap on/climb on first!!!!!
i'd strongly recommend a trip to the vet just cuz they didn't have the best of care before you came along ... have them checked for parasites and blood calcium level so you know where you stand ....
