I just read the above message about dry gangrene. I think this could be what this desert iguana has. That part of the tail is ROCK HARD AND NOT FLEXABLE AT ALL. Also when I look and touch it the iguana acts like he can not feel me touching it. I have an appointment at the vet next week for a check up.

Do you think this could be dry gangrene?
