Hi All,
Well if you have read my previous postings (about three weeks ago) you know I was looking into adopting two desert iguanas. Well because I live in Michigan and she was in Texas we had to wait for our weather to agree for shipping. Well it finally did and I got the two little guys (1 male and 1 female) today. These are Desert Iguanas and not the normal green iguanas. Now I do not know what environment they have been in and what care they have received but I know they will be pampered pets while I have them :-)
Now when iguanas bask do they normally have their eyes closed? I have never owned any iguanas before so I know this is a basic question.
On one the tip of its tail (about the last inch) it is very thin, and hard. It is not flexible at all. What happened to this part of its tail? Should it go to a vet? Will it break off? What caused this? What should I do about it?
Please let me know ASAP. I am very worried about the tip of the tail on the one. Thet other seems to be doing great and in perfect health.
Thanks,
Scott
