How to get mom to get iguana

i'm really interested in getting an iguana ( i alread y have a collared lizard) but my mom syays it's to big and all jsut how long does it take it to grow to full size. anybody got tips for ocnvincing my mom she already rejected getting a ball python so a iggy is my second choice AND NO i won't stick it in with my collared i'm not that stupid
