Is this a baby ig? Reason I ask, is that there are such things as pet stores which sell/adopt out unwanted iguanas. If this is a baby, then I would recommend (if you can convince your mom... :) ) that you locate an iguana up for adoption somewhere nearby. There are lots on this board who resuce igs themselves, or can tell you what is near you. I'm most likely FAR to FAR away to really be of help here.

There may even be a juvie for adoption. Adult adoptions are great as well, as a lot of the time, they will come to you pre-tamed!

Iguanas are work and $$ to have, but well worth it!
