Well... Haven't posted here since 1/27, when I had just gotten back from a week-long business trip and Chuck went on a feeding strike while I was gone.

Honestly, some people's attitudes here have turned me away from this forum. Seems to me, there are a few "regulars" who are mostly out to scare away the newcomers and prevent anyone from owning a baby Ig. Oh well...

Back to whats up in my house: Chuck is doign great, and looks better every day. He's put on about 3 pounds since November, and has grown a little over 3 inches. His spikes are actually starting to straighten out after being bent and broken for some time. I have found that a daily bath followed by some gentle rubbing on them does wonders to remove old shed and help get them back into good shape. We've gone from Chuck being bathtub potty trained (even goes in there on his own), to paper trained. Now it is a simple matter of placing a few newspapers on the living room floor. He hasnt had an accident on the floor in at least 2 months. So proud of my lil buddy!

In terms of diet, every week I manage to find something new and interesting to throw in with his basic diet. We are still learning what he likes/dislikes. Soft bright colored fruits are a wonderful treat for him :-) He enjoys eating either standing on his head hanging upside down, or being held about 6 inches above his plate so he can sit on his front legs. Strange dude...

Evenings definitely have their routine now. After work, Chuck will wait till I get comfortable on the couch before he comes to visit me. Often he chooses to park right up on my shoulder and stay there for a few hours. He has become a companion for just about every evening activity, including cooking, cleaning, and watching TV.

In conclusion, what an awesome animal... Hope everyone has a good weekend :-)

Mark & Chuck (sorry for the old pic!!)
