Apparently I need to defend my reputation! To address your first question "why do you want to know this," I feel I am perfectly within my rights to try and acquire the type of iquana that I find most appealing. I certainly don't think that the fact that I am interested in a larger animal with rostral horns and lots of blue color makes me subhuman! Secondly, you recommended that I do a little reading and research. That's exactly what I'm doing! I am definately not a beginner, but I won't claim to be an expert either. I do however have an advantage over some other iguana owners. I've had extensive experience in the past with many reptile species INCLUDING iguana iguana, and I'm presently enrolled in the O.S.U. college of veterinary medicine (hence the nickname "creaturemd") which gives me access to top notch veterinary care and a bit of an advantage where general care and husbandry knowledge are concerned. As a final note, my real name is heather so if you're thinking I'm on some testosterone pumped ego kick, think again. I just know what I want and I'm patient enough to wait and research until I find it (rather than running out to the next reptile show and buying some pitiful stressed out import from some smelly shady guy who talks pretty). I appreciate the fact that you want to protect these animals from the vast sea of ignorance that is looming out there, but please understand that I'm not it. Thanks.
