You're in an debate with someone who, by his own admission I might add, would probably run back into his burning house to save his iguana before his wife and kids. I suspect that you, like me, have a great love (admiration, affinity, whatever you want to call it) for these animals that is based in fact and reality, not just emotion. Not to say that an emotional attachment to your pets is a bad thing, it's just taken to the extreme here, and usually anyone who goes against the flow is unwelcome. So, at least two people are on your side, and good luck with vet school.
