: And even incorrect! Of course localities determine the appearance of the iguana..(rostral horns, qty of orange coloration....you name it)
: Travis: I respect a lot of your opinions, and your thoughts in regards to iguanas, not only in captivity, but in the wild as well. I have been reading this forum for some time now, but generally do not post. Part of this goes back to before your arrival, where a lot of disagreements were met with large hostility. I am a non-confrotational person by nature, so chose not to belittle myself and others over what I considered to be mereley differences of opinion.
: While I found that previous state on this forum disconcerting, it now pales in comparison to what has transpired lately. Please note that this is not soley aimed at you Travis, and this stems further than this situation, but the general tone of this forum has degraded to the point where I feel there is now an openly hostile environment. Jokes like "you should see the monitor forum" are not an excuse. Several years ago I left the IML for the same reasons as what I now see here.
: Kingsnake.com has closed several forums on this site for exactly this type of situation, and I'd hate to see it happen here.
Thank you. I really appreciate your words of acknowledgment on this matter. I came to this forum seeking advice, information, and intelligent conversation. I'm leaving with a general feeling of astonishment and disbelief. Thank you again for having the courage to voice your opinion, apparently it's a dangerous thing to do.
