Here's kind of a funny story for ya..

I went to PetsMart today to buy a night light for Gilbert. (my regular guy was out, and I needed it today) While I was in the store, I was watching the baby Igs plaing in the cage. They looked much better than they did last time. They were about 4"SVL (I just wanted to take them ALL home!) I was stand there talking to them, when a lady, a small boy and a clerk approached the tank. She was asking him about the Iglets. "Do they bite?" she asked "Nope..they're pretty tame animals" Do they get much bigger? Once again.."Nope that's as big as they get" Exsqueeze me?!?

I asked him, what he thought he was selling. He said Iguanas. I asked him if they were of some special "dwarf" breed. He said, no. I just started laughing. I tried telling him that they would get MUCH bigger than that, and that they DO bite. He said that the manager told him the info that he was giving out. I then gave the woman my friend's business card, and told her that if she wanted to REALLY know about Igs, and see just how big they get.. to go see him. She said she would. (I'll let you know what I hear) I figure she'll drop dead, and the kid will want one :)

I couldn't get in to see the manager that "allegedly" told the clerk the info, but I left a comment card with my name and address.

All in all, the Igs looked pretty good. Healthy, active, and running around like little maniacs. I am still bothered by the "Feed them every two day" policy, but I guess you gotta take the good with the bad. ;)

BTW.. Gilbert head-bobbed a couple of times this morning. (could he be any dammed cuter?!?!?)
