A good point? Hmmmm how about, "Even though the sign says we care about our customers, we couldn't give a rat's rump?" Why don't they (and no they aren't the only ones who do it) put up a big sign that says "We'll do anything it takes to sell you something"

For those who say, big deal.. it's just a way of doing business in america today, remember that when the local crack dealer sells your son or daughter some "Good Stuff" that "Won't hurt them" while you're at the morgue identifying the body.

Like the puppys and kittens that PetsMart won't sell, because it's not P.C. anymore? Where's the "Adopt an unwanted Ig/Snake/critter day"?

Isn't there some other businesses in south america, and colombia that everybody doesn't like? (sorry..being a smart-ass there) ;)

: I was in Costa Rica last December, they have an iguana farm that they raise more meat per acre than you can with cows here, and you don't have to do anything, just let them live in the rainforest.

Lets send some cows to the rainforest! Sure, I like cows, but I still eat them. Just could never bring myself to eating an Ig, or snake.

: O.K. maybe I would have tried a McIguana (didn't get a chance), but if I crashed in the mountains with only people to eat, I may do that too, probably wouldn't taste as good.

Don't ever get on a plane that's filled with soccer players. Especially if it's flying over the Andes! ;)

Good point, but then it comes down to "You work for me.. I'm the boss" and then you are back in the loop chasing your tail.

: Quit complaining and teach them. They don't know, they are just like you and me, just less knowledgeable. So save an iguanas life today, quit ignoring the problem, approach the ignorant in an intelligent way, and they will listen.
: If you just complain, you are part of the problem, think about it, if you pass along knowledge, then these animals will have better homes.

Good point there too. My problem with this particular store, is that it has been tried. A friend (who is MUCH more knowlegable) offer to go in one saturday a month, and give a basic Ig husbandry class. And sent papers and pamphlets, and shopping lists, and all kinds of stuff at his own cost. Freebie.. non-gratis

"Sorry..we're not interested at this time. We have trained personell in the store that can answer our customers' questions"

Good thing they care about me...as a customer...or I'd might take that the wrong way :)
