I have an ig who is a little over a year old and he's extremely docile. He loves to be petted and stroked, and he never hisses, bites, or pushes his throat flap out at me. He's not even afraid of the other animals in the house (I never let him run around unsupervised). I know he is male - his femoral pores are quite pronounced and already show evidence of waxy buildup, and his flap is very bright stripey blue and well-developed. My question is this: am I going to have problems later with him being aggressive? The pic in the new Reptiles gave me serious pause. I don't want to look like that. Although, I must admit that I think she was irresponsible in that she KNEW the animal had not been out of the cage in *2 weeks* and that there were other male igs in the room. Remember, she said he was on top of the other boy ig's cage when she came in and he skdived onto her face.
Is this a problem I'm going to have to deal with? I'm a very small person, and I also can't afford to let anything happen to my hands because I'm an artist. I don't want to get bitten. Given his gentle bearing, I don't see how he could ever do this unless I make a retarded mistake. I read so many posts every day about people with "problem igs" that are still really little. If he was going to turn into a psychopath, wouldn't he already be exhibiting aggressive tendencies?
