I have only had my male for about a year. Last spring I had problems with him biting. I don't know if it was due to him testing us or if it was breeding season aggression. He only had this problem for about a month and only tried to bite 4 - 6 times. I was very worried at the time that he was going to turn out to be mean. We stood our ground and showed that we wouldn't take his attitude and he has turned to be the sweetest thing. Don't get me wrong we didn't hurt him, just showed that we were not afraid of him. There is a site that helped me out a lot in what to expect and how to handle it. The site is http://www.sonic.net/~melissk/breedag.html I was advised that if he develops a problem during breeding season, leave him alone. Once his hormons calm down, he should return to normal. Good luck.
Debbie
PS I am a little person too (4'11").
