Citric acid that oranges,lemons,limes contain are alkaline-forming/have an alkaline effect on the system converting to carbon dioxide and water, NOT ACIDIC. Safe to give...the only oxalates of any concern in oranges, lemons, limes are the rind! Something I hope no one feeds their iguana anyway right! Still waiting on the update to the Quick Look Food List where I erroneously posted that oranges, lemons and limes were high oxalate foods....

very low oxalate content (just forget that rind!)
Vitamin C is important in the transport of calcium thru cell membranes...but mega doses of Vitamin C also inhibits calcium absorption. I don't know what amount that would be for an ig tho.
