Free roaming, salmonella, and moms-to-be (of non-herps!)

Please forgive me, my memory is so awful that while I recall seeing a picture of an ultrasound, and reading about someone's new daughter, I can't for the life of me remember who it was! (But belated congratulations anyway!)
Anyway, my question is; after reading the comments below on free roaming and other pets - especially Gina's info on Salmonella exposure - I was starting to wonder if pregnant women should not handle igs or clean cages?

Not that this is an issue for me yet, you understand...purely hypothetical at this point...(but hopefully not for long)...
