: Debbie...so does this mean you won't be coming to this forum much cuz you and hubby are uh...practicing?...lol

: Here's a website on Salmonella.....very interesting reading.
: Gina

Thanks Gina, for the great link! I had planned on being carefull, but after reading it I'm thinking that maybe I shouldn't even handle Zen when - and if - I get pregnant. Or the snakes for that matter. Sigh. Just when I was thinking of switching my master's concentration from paleontology to herpetology...
One (of many!) things in that article that makes me nervous is that I *Have* actually had meningitis (last year) and my doctor was mystified as to how I came into contact with it. I wonder if I slipped up with iguana care? I'm almost paranoid now about hand-washing, but all it takes I guess is one time. Also, I think you had mentioned in an earlier post that you have gotten the symptoms of salmonella infection in the past; since half the meds I take now make me sick to my stomach, I'm not sure I'd even recognize salmonella as a culprit!
Oh well, I'm sure plenty of women have had babies and kept reptiles without any scary complications; I'll just have to be extra cautious...

(My hubby says I worry too much about things: can you tell?? :)

Thanks again!
-d
