I never said the only people who know squat about torts are highfield and paull. However both of these men have written books and countless articles on tortoises most of which are somewhat availlable. If you walk into a store and buy an animal you should also buy a book. That way you will realize that your pet has certain needs. Are we going back to the stone age, people. Ooh tort live in box and eat green food. I hope not. Terry what you call foresight I call simple intelligence. To buy an animal you know nothing about is stupid. Who knows by the time you get to a forum to ask a question, your tort could be dead. All because someone would not buy a book. Why are all the people getting mad, I am younger than most of you, but at least I know I am not the tort expert, even though My girlfriend and I have a nice pair of spiders, 2 leopards, 3 sulcatas, 2 redfoots, 1 yellowfoot, a greek and a egyptian all of which are eating growing and prospering. Expertise comes from experience. Everything said on a forum should be taken for a grain of salt. In closing I have to give it up to Tim, who is wise enough to see my point, instead of crying over a hurt ego.
