I have heard similar reports from people here in the USA about carinata only reaching lengths less than 7ft. But have I read in references originating in SE Asia that these "King" ratsnakes get to lengths closer to 10 feet and above, and they even cite them to be the largest of the Elaphe. In addition, there have been a couple people here in the states who have told me this as well. Unfortunately, I don't have those references available to site them properly. But in addition to that, I had a carinata that was well over 8 feet, which is where my confusion initially started.
I am under the impression that maybe there have been too few carinata in the states for people to be sure of their potential, or maybe no one has been paying attention. LOL.
What do you think?
