Is Elaphe guttata emoryi considered a rat or corn snake?

I was curious to know if Elaphe guttata emoryi is considered a corn snake or if
Elaphe guttata guttata are the only true "corn" snakes. I've seen sites that will
lump these 2 together as corns because of the "guttata" but the commone name for the
emoryi is "Great Plains Ratsnake".

Does anyone know?
