Hello! I'm going to be doing research for the next couple months on good snakes to begin with. Price really isn't an object when purchasing a snake or the various other necessities, but given that this is my first snake, I am looking for hardy animal that will forgive a couple newbie mistakes I'm bound to make, generally take to handling, and given the age of my daughter (3 1/2), aren't terribly nippy (she wouldn't be handling them by herself of course--at least not for awhile ;-) I'd been steered toward cornsnakes but was told that a rat snake in particular the Taiwan Beauty might be a way to go. I DO very much like the look of the Beauty and it's larger size but need more information. I realize this site is probably peppered w/questions like mine, but hearing opinions on corn vs beauty would be helpful. THANKS
