Hi Andy,
If the snake is truly a baby, head shape might not be fully developed as yet. Judging by the photos, the snake looks to me like it is considerably beyond neonate stage. Please include a photo shot next to a known object like a coke can. Mountain Dew or A&W Rootbeer would be fine as well. (grin) I'm assuming that stretched out this snake is more like two feet long. I still believe it to be a racer, although more is needed to positively ID.
