Here's some new clues. I looked at the pictures again and noticed that there seems to be quite a few scale rows. I count about 13 actually, on the one side, which means there's probably 27 or 29 scale rows altogether. That would rule out any racer (15 or 17 dsr) or kingsnake (23 dsr). Pines have 27-37 dsrs, a slightly higher number on average from rats. If we could check the anal plate, single in kings and pines, divided in rats, we'd probably have the genus at least. I now believe it's a ratsnake, but which one? If this truly is a wild snake and not a lost captive, it would probably have to be an albino black rat, because of the location. Did you notice the pics were a little overexposed (too much light) and could obscure the pink or pattern? However, the somewhat bulging eyes seem a little big for a black rat. If it's an escapee, it could be just about anything obsoleta or guttata. Well, maybe we'll have a little more to go by later on. Anyway, it's fun playing detective, and good practice for our identification skills. Til' later. TC.
