thanks for that, the problem is that whenever you ask for advice on breeding melanurus you get told something different, when i posted back in october i think it was, i was advised via e-mail to cool them and then breed them whereas i had been told before to put them together as they were cooled, this didnt work so i tried cooling them first this time but it was an even worse result, at least last time when they were hardly cooled they mated just not successfully. i have also been advised not to cool them at all as they come from much warmer climes than the rest of the drymarchon family, after a while it makes you feel like throwing your hands in the air and screaming.
