dan thanks again, unfortunately i have to heat every one of my tanks because i live in a particularly cold part of England and they are all in a snakeroom that needs more insulation, also i was always led to believe that drymarchon would eat other snakes if given the opportunity hence why i keep them seperate all year unless i'm trying to mate them. last year when they bred the male inflicted some serious looking gashes to the females neck (there was a lot of blood but theres no scarring left now)so obviously i'm rather anxious about leaving them together too long for fear of serious injury. any ideas?
