...I went to the Barren's for the first time in June of this year and followed Kauffelds sites as well as a few from a friend in Philly and saw (in one day) A Chain King, A Milksnake, a Cornsnake, Black Racer, N. Watersnake, Ribbon snake, Smooth Earthsnake, Spotted turtles, Painted turtles, frogs and Salamander's (2 kinds). 2 day's earlier, I saw my first live Pine snake. You've got me beat on the garters and Mud turtles, tho...I didn't see any of those. The most common snake seems to be the Smooth Earthsnake and most common turtle is the Painted. Are you lifting stuff in June after a rain? Try trash piles, they seem to grow them there in Jersey. lol
